Treasurer's Report: Frank Robinson July saw a gain for the month with income slightly below expected, but expenses well below budgeted. Year-to-date, we are ahead of budget. The Audit Committee appointed at our July Vestry meeting met, reviewed thechecklist provided by the Diocese, and addressed the items not reviewed by our independent auditor. The auditor has provided his report and recommendations. A motion to authorize change in accounting to recognize pledge and gift prepayments in the year for which they are intended was voted on and unanimously approved. A motion to authorize change in balance sheet included in financial statements to value St. Paul's land and buildings based on their assessed value according to the Nantucket tax assessor was voted on and unanimously approved. A motion to accept the auditor's report and approve responses to his recommendations was voted on and unanimously approved. A motion to authorize restatement of St. Paul's FYE 2015, and preparation of St. Paul's 2016, financial statements to reflect approved accounting changes was voted on and unanimously approved. A motion to approve the addendum to the Lighthouse School License Agreement respecting shared utility expenses was voted on and unanimously approved. A motion to approve the Lighthouse School Handbell License Agreement for 2016-2017 school term was voted on and unanimously approved. EMC 2017: Pam Goddard The theme for the upcoming EMC is "Awaiting a Mighty Wind." The mailing will go out September 7, with Ingathering scheduled for September 25. Tower Update: Luke Thornewill Dual Macintyre is working on the submission of the CPC grant application with assistance from Brian Pfeiffer. Executive Committee Report: Lou Gennaro: Caroline French Society: George Fowlkes will speak at Sunday's congregational meeting to re-introduce the Caroline French Society. Stacey Stuart: Nominating Committee: Those vestry members whose terms are ending will be among those serving on the nominating committee. Rector's Time: John Beach Summer Congregational Meeting August 14: Executive committee will meet with John to plan the agenda. Outreach: Although there are active members of this committee, we are still in need of someone to chair. Other Business: John Beach is planning a Safe Church Training to be held on the island; anyone from the Nantucket Community who is interested will be invited to attend.
