07.18.16 | Vestry Actions | by Pam Goddard

A summary of actions taken by the Vestry at the July meeting.

St. Paul's Vestry met at 4 PM on July 14, 2016.

    Treasurer's Report: Frank Robinson

Although income was slightly below budget, expenses were well below, resulting in a positive swing fir the month. In terms of net ordinary income, we are $6,071 ahead of our budget at the end of the second quarter. Note that for the calendar year, our budget is balanced, in that our projected ordinary income will equal our ordinary expenses.

We will transition to all monies received in 2016 for 2017 being accounted for in 2017, i.e. no pre-payment of pledges and gifts category.

A resolution to authorize certain officers to take various actions with respect to investments with the Vanguard Group, Inc., was unanimously voted on and approved. It was, however, unanimously voted on and approved to not make any changes in investments before the report on the tower is received.

    Audit Committee:

Cece Fowler, Pam Goddard, and Jean Wagley will serve on the audit committee with Frank Robinson and Dual Macintyre.

    EMC 2017 Plan: Pam Goddard

Discussions will begin for next year's Every Member Canvass. Vestry members should be prepared to fill out their pledge cards at the August meeting, so that we might convey 100% vestry participation. Pledge packets will be mailed after Labor Day.

Assessment of the tower is scheduled for July 15.
