Treasurer's Report: Dual Macintyre Relatively speaking, May flowered where April showered. Operating expenses in May were routine with the final loss totals lower than budgeted. In terms of net ordinary income, we are just about on budget for the five months ended May 31. Electric/Energy Assessment: Luke Thornewill A motion was brought forward to change the church's electric provider to Ambit. The rate will be reviewed annually. Pat Hancock will act as liaison for St. Paul's. This motion was unanimously approved. EMC Update: Lou Gennaro Following analysis of the current pledge lists, the executive committee will make phone calls to those who typically pledge but have yet to do so this year. Going forward, we will try to educate parishioners on the importance of pledging. Executive Committee Report: Lou Gennaro Workshop recap - Luke and Steve are making progress on the tower; some leadership positions to be filled (Stewardship, Buildings & Grounds); we need to put in place a framework for making decisions at committee level to make process less cumbersome. Rector's Time: John Beach John Beach met with Tess Pearson from Family and Children Services to discuss mental health issues on the island. Bob Ford will facilitate the weekly e-blast, and Randy Wight will oversee a bi-annual newsletter with Bob's help. 30 minute congregational meetings will be held on July 24 and August 14 following the 10:00 service There will be a meeting with the other church leaders this week to discuss an ecumenical initiative for youth ministries. John Beach will lead a group on a trip to Cuba in November to visit the Episcopal Church in Havana, among other activities. The meeting opened and closed with reflections from Lou Gennaro.
