    A summary of actions taken by the Vestry at the November meeting.

    St. Paul's Vestry met at 4PM on Thursday, November 3, 2016.

    Treasurer's Report: Frank Robinson

    Income for the month was well under budget, while expenses were slightly over. Year-to-date income still exceeds expenses.

    Remember that 2017 pledges prepaid this year will be not be recognized in 2016 income and instead will be deferred to January 2017.  An explanation of the accounting change was provided to you in August and appears on the StP website under “Resources – Treasurer’s Report – Accounting Changes Authorized – Accounting Change Notice.”


    EMC: Pam Goddard

    Positive trend for October continues with 119 pledge cards in, compared to 81 last year at this time. A report to the parish will be in the next edition of the newsletter. 


    Executive Committee Report: Lou Gennaro

    Building & Grounds Committee meeting pending to consider repairs necessary to make our campus more accessible to the groups who need to use it; revisit long range planning list already established.


    Rector's Time: John Beach

    Worship: John Beach is proposing that during the switch to one service, January 1 - February 26, there be morning prayer at 8:00 and the regular service at 9:30. Additionally, on December 11 we will have one service at 9:30 followed by the Christmas brunch.


    Other business:

    Luke Thornewill is organizing a 24-hour prayer vigil beginning at 7:00 p.m. on the eve of the election to be held in the St. Paul's Chapel. There will be Eucharist at 5:30 Tuesday.
