TREASURER'S REPORT: Frank Robinson January Forum: Assuming the Annual Meeting date to be February 4, Dual and I tentatively plan to use a post-service forum on January 14 to provide the congregation with the preliminary financial results for 2017, the draft budget approved by the Vestry, and a venue other than the Annual Meeting to ask questions. A motion to withdraw $8,000 from the Nelson Fund to be distributed equally between the Rector's Discretionary Fund and ordinary income was voted on and unanimously approved. Caroline French Society: A motion to appoint Randy Wight as Chair of the Caroline French Society in recognition of her work and commitment to reinvigorate the Society, the success of which is critical to building StP's endowment, was voted on and unanimously approved. Laundry Love: St. Paul's held its 2nd free laundry event at Holdgates on Wednesday. The estimated costs include $400 for washing machine and dryer time ($330 at the 1st event). John has agreed to fund that cost from the Rector's Discretionary Fund. An anonymous donor has agreed to cover the costs of printing the posters and flyers, detergent, and dryer sheets. INTERFAITH COUNCIL APPOINTMENT: Frank RobinsonA motion to appoint Erin Schrader to represent St. Paul's at the Interfaith Council for a 6-month term ending June 2018 was voted on and unanimously approved. WARDENS' REPORT: Stacey Stuart & Lou Gennaro Pastoral Care: A reminder to continue to apprise of pastoral needs.John Rice will only be on-island on the weekends for services unless there is anything critical. Whitney Burr is available until January 7. Curtis Barnes will be available for hospital visits. Bishop's Visit: Friday, January 12, public meeting for the congregation at 5:30 p.m. The meeting opened and closed with reflections by Luke Thornewill.
