With Bulletin For August 7 Service

August 06, 2022

Dear St. Paul’s Church Family,
Our summer season of music continues at St. Paul’s with creative and uplifting selections at Sunday worship, frequent guest artists for Sundays and Music Monday, and two significant music events this coming week. Please invite friends and family and join us Wednesday evening at 8:00 for Songs from the Silver Screen with Tony Nalker and Bob MacDonald, who brought us last year’s popular Sinatra Tribute Concert. Then Tony and Bob are joined by our choir and several visiting musicians for our own extraordinary Jazz Mass commissioned in loving memory of Nancy Broll. The Jazz Mass will be celebrated both on Friday evening at 6:00 and next Sunday morning at 9:30
The recent humidity is taking its toll on most of us. Forgive me, but I have even taken to wearing shorts and light fishing shirts instead of clerical garb - unusual for me. As my dear old Dad would say with his Boston accent, “This too shall pass.” A couple stopped in to see our church yesterday from Charleston, South Carolina, and said, “This isn’t humid!” I guess it is all relative and we will stay calm, stay hydrated, and continue to count our blessings. See you at church.
The peace and joy of Christ,
Max
