Liz Bristow
Liz and her husband, Shawn, moved to Nantucket from Rye, New Hampshire, during the winter of 2021. The COVID pandemic and the transition to remote work, allowed Liz and Shawn to fulfill a dream of moving to the island year-round. She currently serves as co-chair of St. Paul's Outreach Committee. Liz received her undergraduate degree from Wheaton College in Norton, MA and has a graduate degree in Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University. She works as a psychotherapist with a private practice offering teletherapy throughout Massachusetts, Maine, and New Hampshire. Liz most recently served on the Vestry of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Portsmouth, NH. Prior to this service, she was very involved in the St. John’s community for many years, serving as the Director of Youth Ministry for two years, volunteering for the weekly lunch program, serving on the Capital Campaign Committee, co-leading Safe Church trainings, and running numerous youth programs. Liz also served on the Chapel Committee of St. Andrew’s-by-the-Sea in Rye Beach, NH. Liz has grown up in the Episcopal church, beginning with having sung in the choir and serving as an acolyte at her childhood church, St. Andrew’s in Ayer, MA. She is deeply grateful to now be a part of St. Paul’s and its many outreach ministries.
