With Bulletin For April 14 Service

April 12, 2024

Dear St. Paul’s Parish Family,

It looks like we all survived Monday’s long anticipated eclipse. Being out on Block Island, we did not know quite what to expect and had not purchased the special viewing glasses, so we decided to stay inside during the event. It never became as dark as I expected, but the glow of our surroundings was absolutely surreal. (I tried to capture it in the photo above.) It was exciting to share in the enthusiasm of this natural phenomenon, an occurrence through which such a wide diversity of people found common ground.

Olly and the critters and I are returning early from vacation to attend next Wednesday evening’s concert at St. Paul’s. While away, I see stellar reviews and advertisements for Stile Antico’s other concerts in the area with ticket prices of $35. Ours is free, and with our church’s acoustics their A cappella singing will create an extraordinarily uplifting experience. If on island, please invite friends and neighbors and join us. We will also broadcast the concert on Facebook. See you at church!

The peace and joy of Christ,

Max
