With Bulletin For October 15 Service

October 14, 2023

Dear St. Paul’s Parish Family,

Olly and I are in the middle of a rare excursion off island to celebrate a wedding in Florida. The heat and humidity are a challenge, and the local vegetation and scurrying lizards make us feel like we landed on another planet. We return Sunday night.

We are so grateful for Chef Mark Gottwald, General Manager Bob Moulder and staff for their extraordinarily generous hospitality in hosting last Sunday’s fabulous Ships Inn Dinner. We again had a full house and the joy expressed by parishioners seated throughout the dining rooms was palpable.

It has been so disturbing to witness the horrors of terrorism and war unfolding in Israel and Palestine. Our hearts go out to those affected by such hatred and disregard for life and human suffering, and we pray that equitable solutions and peace may ultimately be achieved. O God, let it be so.

Love,

Max
