Several traditional events are important in building community and to funding our essentail programs. These events provide members and neighbors fellowship and fun. Participate and you'll help further the mission of St. Paul's Church.
Since the early 20th Century, St. Paul's has held a Summer Fair that has become our largest single social and fundraising event. It is typically held in mid-July. The fair offers games for hundreds of children, lunch for all and a wide variety of treasures for sale.
Our Christmas Market is typically held in Gardner Hall on the early December Saturday of Nantucket's Christmas Stroll. Once again, a variety of seasonal gifts and treasures are on sale and a hearty hot lunch is served.
Each year, a number of volunteers stitch panels for a beautiful Nantucket themed needlepoint rug. Raffle tickets for the rug are on sale during the summer months and the lucky winner is chosen in late summer. Please contact Sheila Daume, via the Church Office if you'd like to be a stitcher.
Traditionally, St. Paul's has held parish dinners, hosted by faithful parishioner Mark Gottwald, in the adjacent Ships Inn in June and September. They are opportunities for parishioners to socialize, meet new members and gather for a wonderful dinner.
To volunteer for any of these events, please contact the head of the Hospitality Committee through our Church Office.
